Measure Your Coffee and Water: Use a ratio of 1:4 coffee to water by weight for a concentrate, or 1:8 for a ready-to-drink brew. For example:
For 1 liter (4 cups) of water, use 250 grams (about 1 cup) of coffee for concentrate or 125 grams (about 8 tablespoons) for a lighter brew.
Grind Your Beans: Grind your coffee to a coarse consistency, similar to sea salt. This prevents over-extraction and makes filtration easier.
Combine Coffee and Water: Place the ground coffee in your jar or pitcher and add cold water. Stir gently to ensure all the grounds are saturated.
