AeroPress
What is AeroPress Coffee? AeroPress coffee is a versatile brewing method that uses a compact, cylindrical device to brew coffee through immersion and gentle pressure. Known for its speed and portability, the AeroPress allows for various recipes, making it a favorite among coffee enthusiasts who enjoy experimenting with brewing styles.
How It Works
Ground coffee is steeped in hot water inside the AeroPress chamber.
After steeping, pressure is applied by pressing a plunger, forcing the brewed coffee through a paper or metal filter and into a cup.
The combination of immersion and pressure extraction results in a clean, concentrated, and flavorful cup.

Steps to Make AeroPress Coffee:
Measure Your Coffee and Water: Use a ratio of 1:14 to 1:17 coffee to water by weight. For example:
For 200 grams (7 ounces) of water, use 14 grams (about 2 tablespoons) of coffee.
Grind Your Beans: Grind your coffee to a medium-fine consistency, slightly finer than table salt. Adjust grind size to suit your taste preference.
Prepare the AeroPress:
Assemble the AeroPress with a filter in the cap.
Rinse the filter with hot water to remove any papery taste and preheat the chamber. Discard the rinse water.
Add Coffee Grounds: Place the AeroPress on a sturdy mug or carafe and add the coffee grounds to the chamber.
Add Water:
Heat water to 195°F to 205°F.
Pour water over the coffee, filling to the desired level. Stir gently to ensure all grounds are saturated.
Steep: Let the coffee steep for 1-2 minutes, depending on your recipe and taste preference.
Press:
Insert the plunger and press down slowly and steadily, applying gentle pressure until all the coffee is extracted.
The process should take about 20-30 seconds.
Serve: Dilute the brewed coffee with hot water or milk if desired, or enjoy as a concentrated espresso-like shot.
